The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that various construction activities are scheduled at night over the next three weeks on sections of southbound I-95 in Delaware County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Sunday, February 2, through Friday, February 7, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Ridley Park (Exit 8) and I-476 (Exit 7) interchanges in Ridley Park Borough and Ridley Township for digital message sign installation.
Sunday, February 2, through Thursday, February 6, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between the Route 420 (Exit 9B-A) and I-476 (Exit 7) interchanges in Tinicum and Ridley townships and Ridley Park Borough for traffic camera replacement.
Monday, February 3, through Thursday, February 6, and Monday, February 10, through Thursday, February 13, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between I-476 (Exit 7) and U.S. 322/Commodore Barry Bridge (Exit 4) in the City of Chester and Upland Borough for survey operations.
Monday, February 17, and Tuesday, February 18, from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM the following morning, a lane closure will be in place on southbound I-95 between I-476 (Exit 7) and U.S. 322/Commodore Barry Bridge (Exit 4) in the City of Chester and Upland Borough for survey operations.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because significant backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent and subject to change.
