Haverford Police Department will soon be accepting applications for Cop Camp, the department’s summer program for pre-teens interested in law enforcement.

Haverford's Cop Camp is a unique opportunity for children to immerse themselves in the world of law enforcement. Over four action-packed days, campers will engage in hands-on activities designed to educate and inspire.

Camp participants will learn what it takes to make it through the police academy and learn the basics of crime scene analysis and discover how detectives solve cases. Technical demonstrations will allow them to experience firsthand how drones are used in law enforcement.

Campers will also get to meet officers from a variety of roles, like K-9 Team handlers, SWAT team members and honor guard officers.

Camp is open to Haverford residents ages 10 and 11. The camp will be held at the Haverford Police Station, 1010 Darby Road, Havertown, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 23 to June 27. A nutritious lunch will be served each day.

Registration opens Feb. 18. There will be a registration fee of $25.
