The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that sign inspections are scheduled this week on Interstate 95 in Delaware County.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:
Thursday, Jan. 30, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., moving single or double right lane closures are scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Route 452 and U.S. 322 interchanges in the Upper Chichester Township, Chester Township, and City of Chester.
Thursday, Jan. 30, from 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., a moving right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the I-476 and Ridley Park interchanges in Ridley Township and Ridley Park Borough.
Friday, Jan. 31, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., a moving right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the I-476 and the U.S. 322 interchanges in City of Chester.
Friday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., a moving right lane closure is scheduled on southbound I-95 between the Route 452 and Chichester Avenue interchanges in Upper Chichester Township.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
The inspections are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect overhead signs at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and overall condition of the structures.
