One person is dead after a crash on Interstate 95 in Ridley Township in the early hours Tuesday, according to information reported in the Daily Times.
Shortly before 2 a.m. Chester police officers were involved in a pursuit. Reports indicate a subject tried to stab officers.
During the pursuit, spike strips were deployed to stop the car on I-95 near Stewart Avenue.
After a crash, the driver jumped out of the vehicle and landed on the Amtrak tracks below, radio traffic shows.
The driver was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center with severe trauma and in cardiac arrest, according to fire radio. It was not clear when the driver died.
