The Upper Darby Fire has announced the start of its recruitment process for its next class of firefighters.
The township will hold a physical fitness test at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High School, 403 North Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill.
Applicants who pass the physical test wil be required to take written examination at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the same location.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old within sixty days following the date of the written examination and have a valid driver's license and a high school diploma or high school equivalency certification.
Applications may be obtained in person at the Upper Darby Township Fire Department Headquarters, 7216 West Chester Pike. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Applications are also available online.
Applications for the firefighter examination must be complete and returned to the Upper Darby Fire Headquarters, 7216 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby. no later than 12 p.m. Friday March 21.
