A GoFundMe page has been launched to benefit the family of a mother killed killed Friday, Jan. 10, in a traffic collision in Marple.
Miranda Pugliese, 30, of Atglen, was a passenger in a car that ran a redlight at the interchange of Route 1 and Interstate 476. That car was struck on the passenger side by a pickup truck.
Police said the driver of the sedan was distracted by his cell phone causing him to fail to stop for the red light.
Police have not released the name of the driver or indicated whether he would be charged.
Pugliese had two children, Blake, 3, and Myles, 1, and a husband, Anthony.
According to her obituary, she was born in Ohio and her family later moved to Pennsylvania. She graduated Coatesville High School, where she played basketball, field hockey, and lacrosse. She then went to West Chester University, where she played on a Rugby team that competed at the national level.
She met her future husband, Anthony, while at West Chester. Miranda and Anthony got married and started their family in their home in Atglen,
