Driver faces DUI charge after hitting house, police say

Haverford police and medical units responded to a traffic accident with entrapment at the 600 block of Ellis Road just after 10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, according to dispatch records.

First responders arrived to find the car had crashed though a wall and into the side of a house, according to information provided by the Manoa Fire Company. The driver was trapped and had to be extracted but was not seriously injured.

Crews from Manoa, Oakmont Fire Company and Narberth Ambulance were the responders.

Haverford police said the 21-year-old driver from Berwyn was admitted to the hospital, according to information published in the Daily TImes. She will be charged with DUI and related offenses.
