Media Fellowship House will celebrate a legacy of service at its 36th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration and Spirit Hall of Fame on Sunday, Jan. 19, from 3 to 6 p.m.

Keynote speaker Greg Volz will lead a panel from 3 to 4:30 p.m. focusing on systemic inequities in the juvenile justice system and the challenges faced by individuals re-entering society after incarceration. The occasion will highlight the induction of three remarkable community heroes into the MLK Spirit Hall of Fame, recognizing their outstanding contributions to criminal justice and prison reform.

A fellowship dinner will follow from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Admission is free though donations are accepted. Guests should register in advance at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/36th-annual-dr-martin-luther-king-jr-commemoration-and-spirit-hall-of-fame.

The event will be hosted at First Church Media, 350 W State St, Media.

Media Fellowship House will also have a toiletries donation drive from 10 a.m. to 2 pm. on Jan. 20 at the church. Anyone interested in volunteering can contact Makeda Remond ([email protected]) to express your interest in organizing a collection drive.
