The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office has charged an 18-year-old Havertown man, saying he was catfishing online, posing as a teenage girl, to get explicit photos from a minor, according to information published in the Delco Daily Times.
Cameron Fusto, 18, of Havertown, is charged with two child pornography-related crimes, attempted criminal sexual extortion, sexual abuse of a minor, and criminal use of a communication facility.
The AG's Office claims Fusto posed as a girl on social media to obtain nude photographs of a minor.
He then exploited the victim, threatening to publicize the nude photos if the minor did not send more photos, according to authorities.
Fusto was released after posting 10 percent of $250,000 bail on Feb. 12.He is scheduled for a Feb. 27 preliminary hearing, court records.
