A Chester teen has been charged after firing shots at two other teens in Upper Darby.

Upper Darby Police Superintendent Timothy Bernhardt said police got a call shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday for shots fired in the 7000 Greenwood Avenue, however the incident occurred at Crosley Avenue near Clover Lane, according to information published in the Daily Times.

Police were met by a woman who told them someone had tried to shoot at her son and a second teen. Police spoke to the victims and identified two suspects, who had entered another home down the block.

The victims said they were walking on Crosley Avenue when words were exchanged and then shots were fired. There had been an argument with the two a day earlier.

Following the shooting, the victims ran to their house and alerted the parents.

Police searched the second house and found a 9 mm handgun. Police believe that was the weapon used in the incident.

The suspect who was charged was wearing an ankle monitor from an incident in Chester. He has now been placed into a facility.

The fourth teen is witness and was not charged.
