Upper Darby police charged a Philadelphia man with receiving stolen goods after police say they pulled him over in a stolen car.
According to a criminal complaint, Upper Darby Police Officer Jeremy Baker was on patrol at about 10:40 a.m. Friday, Jan. 31, in the area of Lansdowne Avenue and Garrett Road when he saw a silver Subaru heading south on Lansdowne Avenue toward Garrett Road.
According to the complaint, the license plate and model were found to match those of a vehicle reported stolen in Philadelphia. Baker followed the vehicle and made a stop at the intersection of Marshall Road and Windermere Avenue.
Police took the driver and sole occupant, Zakwah Hawk, 19, into custody.
Hawk is charged with felony receiving stolen goods as well as a misdemeanor count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle
He was released on 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.
