More than 100 Boeing Employees in Pennsylvania, including some in Delco will lose their jobs in the companies next round of layoffs, according to a report with a state agency.
The company filed a notice this month with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, informing the state it is laying off a total of 101 employees at its facility in Ridley as well at two other plants in the western part of the state, effective mid-January.
The layoffs come after several years of financial trouble for the company, including a two month machinist strike that ended in October.
The January loses will be the second round in less than a year for the Ridley site, located at which saw 69 workers lose their jobs in August. About 4,000 employees current work at the plant at 1 S Stewart Ave., Ridley Park.
Boeing reported revenue of net losses of $6.1 billion in the third quarter of 2024, compared to losses of $1.7 billion in third quarter of 2023.
