Haverford property owners will likely see a higher tax bill next year, as the proposed 2025 Haverford Township budget includes a nearly 4 percent increase in the real estate tax rate.
The Haverford Township Board of Commissioners discussed the preliminary budget at its meeting last. The preliminary budget of $54.86 million features a 3.9 percent property tax rate increase.
The average homeowner would see a property tax increase of $60. The annual trash and recycling fee would remain the same at $283.
The township’s report cited a “strong but cautious real estate market” and anticipated lower investment earnings as interest rates fall.
The next budget meeting will be Dec. 12.
