As 2024 enters its final weeks, Delaware County remains firmly a sellers’ market, with far more people looking to buy homes than there are homes for sale.
A survey by Rocket Homes found 1,705 homes for sale in September and 1,782 in October. The median price over the last 12 months was $349,970, a 6.9 percent increase over the previous year. Average time on the market was 25 days.
Delco had the highest percentage growth in home values among Philadelphia and its adjacent counties. During the same period, prices rose in Montgomery County by 5 percent, in Chester County by 4.8 percent and in Philadelphia by only 0.6 percent.
