The Delaware County Council is seeking residents to serve on the county government’s Commission for Immigrant Affairs.
County Council created the Delaware County Commission for Immigrant Affairs with the stated purpose of providing both review and recommendations to the County Council and pertinent County Departments which address the needs of immigrant communities in Delaware County.
The purpose of the Commission, among other things, is strengthening the voices of local immigrant communities; advising County Council and pertinent County Departments on policies and programs to improve the lives of immigrants within Delaware County; and sharing resources and raising awareness about the history, geography, and culture of the various immigrant communities.
