"Some couples just like to fight. And you know what comes after the fight? Let's just say you come back together and you make up. And they do this by winning by two touchdowns over a great Steelers team. So, I don't mind the fighting . . . That's them. This is what they are. They're the makeup sex team."
- Kyle Brandt on the NFL Network
Brandt might be on to something here. Drama can rip some teams apart, but the Birds seem to embrace it. Thrive off of it, even.
The star wide receiver and the quarterback have a little spat after the Panthers game? Who cares. They get back on the field against the Steelers, connect on eight passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, and hit the Kid 'n Play celebration. The football version of makeup sex.
AJ Brown made sure to run to Jalen Hurts so they could do this celebration after the TD:

Brandt's comments were focused on a different situation: a sort-of sideline altercation Sunday between Nick Sirianni and Jalen Carter after Carter incurred a dumb penalty.
First of all, where's the penalty? All we see is a little love tap. Heh.
I know it was dumb, but Iām enjoying watching Jalen Carter slap the shit out of the Steelers way too much š pic.twitter.com/09Be3yg9Ql
Here's Brandt discussing the scene that occurred afterward. It's objectively hilarious to see Big Dom and Clint Hurtt keeping Sirianni and Carter apart.

And after all that?
The makeup.

This really does seem to be how the Birds operate. Get mad at each other, exchange words, hug it out... then kick some ass.
And at 12-2 on the season, there's no reason for them to do anything differently. They just might ride that passion all the way to the Super Bowl.
