Learn to keep your finances safe at Springfield YMCA presentation

State Sen. Tim Kearney, State Rep. Jennifer O'Mara, and the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities will offer a free seminar to help residents avoid banking and investment scams.

The educational event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 6, at the Springfield YMCA, 194 West Sproul Road, Springfield/

Learn how to better protect yourself and your credit from con artists and identity thieves. Also present to answer questions will be representatives from the offices of the Delaware County District Attorney, the Pennsylvania Attorney General, and Springfield Township Police.

There will be refreshments, as well as Fraud BINGO, a fun and interactive presentation that teaches consumers how to protect themselves from investment fraud by playing a familiar game.

This is a limited capacity event, so registration is encouraged by calling Sen Kearney's office at 610-544-6120.
