The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that tree removal will close Eagle Road next week in Haverford Township.
Weather permitting, motorists are advised of the following travel restriction:
Tuesday, December 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Eagle Road will be closed and detoured between Warrior Road and Burmont Road. During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Springfield Road, U.S. 1 (Township Line Road), and Burmont Road.
Local access will be maintained up to the closure. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.
Motorists can check conditions on major roadways including color-coded winter conditions, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
